Vivo has started spinning out a new software update for the iQOO 7, iQOO 9, and iQOO 9 SE smartphones. The packages for the respective smartphones bring different changes. However, the privacy of all devices is upgrading as the build inculcates the May 2022 security patch.
The latest build for the iQOO 7 carries the firmware version PD2055F_EX_6.70.43. On the other hand, it arrives on PD2136BF_EX_36.8.27 and PD2154CF_EX_3.7.2 for the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 SE, respectively. Here’s what the new firmware packs for smartphones.
Besides the May 2022 patch, the build resolves a couple of issues, including the crashing of Bluetooth connections and the inability to take screenshots sometimes. Also, it optimizes the compatibility with some third-party apps and improves battery life.
The firmware for the iQOO 9 also resolves multiple occasional issues like camera failure to take pictures and fingerprint unlock failure on the lock screen.
With the latest update, the power consumption of the iQOO 9 SE is optimized, improving the battery life. In addition, it fixes some issues where some apps might crash thus, optimizing system stability.
As usual, all the updates are rolling out in batches. Therefore, the users may have to wait for some days to experience the new build. Meanwhile, you can also visit Settings > Software updates to manually check the status.
