Nexus 7 Out Of Stock, Possibly Making Way For Volantis?

There has been news for some time now regarding Google planning to skip on the Nexus 8 and instead bring out the HTC Volantis under the HTC 9 banner. The Volantis will be an 8.9-inch tablet and will reportedly be out around the same time as Android L, hinting that it could be sporting the new Android version but then these are all rumors and there is no official conformation to this.

One thing that is in front of you to see is the availability of the Nexus 7 on the US Google Play Store. If you check it, you’ll see that all models of the Nexus 7 are listed as ‘out of inventory’, the 32 GB GSM LTE model being the only exception. Now this out of stock condition might just be temporary and the Nexus 7 might soon be back in stock soon. But the Nexus 10 has been out of stock too for a pretty long time now. Again, this could be temporary but this could be Google’s move to clear the Play Store of all Nexus devices to make way for the Nexus 9 a.k.a. Volantis. What do you think?
