If you’re planning to get your hands on a Shield tablet get ready to shell out $299 as thats the rice its makers have decided to sell the tablet for in the US. Don’t get too excited yet, as the $299 price tag gets you the tablet and only the tablet. You won’t be getting the Shield Wireless Controller, which is the Wi-Fi based gamepad that you must have seen alongside the tablet on several occasions. You can however get the gamepad too for an extra $59.99 which is not a bad price considering the gamepad performs very well with its superior quality controls, a 3.5 mm headset jack, a microphone and a touchpad for the ultimate gaming experience.
What you do get for the $299 price is the NVIDIA DirectStylus 2 which is a GPU-accelerated stylus optimized for using with the Shield.
