At an event here, Samsung has launched two new devices, Galaxy J Max and Galaxy J2 2016. Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 was already in news and we up to some extent we knew its features. Samsung Galaxy J Max is a surprise from Smasung.

Coming onto Galaxy J2 2016 features a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, is powered by a quad-core processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

It comes with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB expandable internal memory, and packs in a 2,600 mAh battery. The entry-level handset features like Ultra data saving (UDS) mode powered by Opera Max and S bike mode.

The main USP of the device is Smart Glow LED along with the camera as we reported earlier. The Smart Glow LED notification system consists of an LED ring that can be customized for priority notifications of any app or contact.

Samsung also revealed the new Turbo Speed Technology (TST) which comes preloaded in the Galaxy J2 (2016). The feature enhances the performance of the smartphone and is claimed to load apps up to 40 percent faster than devices with double the RAM.

The Galaxy J2 (2016) reportedly costs INR 9,750, which translates into around $145. It will be available for purchase in India starting next week. The smartphone will come in Black, Gold, and Silver colors.
