[Update: Launches Globally] Redmi Pad with Helio G99 SoC, 8000 mAh battery goes official

The Chinese tech giant has unveiled a tablet labelled as Redmi Pad. The device is official in India as an affordable offering. Besides, the company has announced some amazing festive offers to make the deal more tempering. Let’s check out the specifications, features, price, and other details of the latest pad.

The Redmi Pad is built around a 10.61-inch 2K resolution, 1 Billion Colours display with slightly thick bezels. The panel offers a screen resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels, a 220 PPI, a 90Hz refresh Rate, 400 nits of brightness, and a built-in eye care protection

Under the hood, the pad draws power from an octa-core processor based on MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. The chipset is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For software, it boosts Android 12 out of the box along with a layer of MIUI 13 on top.

In terms of optics, the Redmi Pad holds an 8MP camera at the back. On the other side, there’s another 8MP lens for selfies and video calls. The camera module supports multiple features, including full HD video recording.

In addition, the brand ships the device with a massive 8000 mAh battery, making it weigh 465g. The power cell supports 18W of fast charging. On a single charge, the device will provide over 21 hours of video playback time, 8+ days of music playback, and about 12 hours of gaming. The other specs include quad speakers with Dolby atmos support, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 5, USB-C, and more.

Redmi Pad: Availability and Price

Redmi Pad retails in Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green color options. As for prices, the base 3GB/ 64GB variant costs ₹14999, while the mid 4GB/ 128GB is priced at ₹17999. Whereas, the top tier 6GB/ 128GB model is worth ₹19999. As for launch offers, the effective price for the three variants will be ₹11700, ₹13500, and ₹15300, respectively
