TwitPic Android App Now History: Twitter Acquires Its Archive

TwitPic was a website and app that allowed users to post pictures to the Twitter micro blogging service. Now, After a trademark dispute with Twitter, TwitPic is now shutting down its service and users will not be able o use it.

Further detailing the collapse of Twitpic, Now users can see old pictures but will be unable to upload the new ones.

“I’m happy to announce that we have reached an agreement with Twitter to give them the Twitpic domain and photo archive, thus keeping the photos and links alive for the time being,” Twitpic creator Noah Everett announced Saturday in a blog post. “Twitter shares our goal of protecting our users and this data.”

The TwitPic App from both Android and iOS store has been removed. Users can still login via app and can remove old pics or remove their account.
