Android 6.0 Marshmallow starts Rolling Out on Moto G (2nd gen)

Motorola starts rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on Moto G 2nd generation both on 3G and LTE variant of the device in India. Moto G2 is become the fourth smartphone which receives Marshmallow in India from Motorola.

Few weeks back the company started soak testing the update in India. The handset was launched in September 2014 running Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out-of-the-box. Although it started receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in January 2015, But Android 5.1 hasn’t hit the device yet so the phone will directly jump from Android 5.0 to Marshmallow.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow over-the-air (OTA) update v24.41.34 for the Moto G (2nd gen) weighs 464.2MB in size and also includes the Android security update for January, 2016. If you did not get the Update stay cool and recheck the update manually by going through the Settings > About Phone > System Update.
