Asus releases a new update for ZenFone 8 with the July 2021 security patch

Since the launch of the ZenFone 8 series in May 2021, Asus is constant in sending updates to the duo. Almost a week after the ZenFone 8 Flip received the update with the patch for July 2021. The standard variant i.e; ZenFone 8 is also grabbing the updated security maintenance with other improvements and optimizations.

The latest update for the Asus ZenFone 8 is rolling out in several regions. The build can be identified by the firmware version RU_30.11.51.103. This is the sixth software update for the smartphone which is specifically being rolled out for model number ZS590KS.

Talking about changes, the package adds some improvements alongside the system optimization and July 2021 security patch. The power consumption and the thermal for some 3rd party Apps video call of the rear camera is now improved. Moreover, the update enhances the image quality of the default camera app, Snapchat, and Instagram.

Like all the other updates, the OTA build is also having an incremental rollout. Therefore, it may take more time to hit every unit in respective regions. If you have a ZenFone 8, you will receive a pop-up notification in a short span of time. Meanwhile, you can also flash the firmware manually by heading to Settings > System > System updates > Download and install.
