Extensive OnePlus 5T leak reveals all about the phone

Well, as far as the OnePlus 5T goes, this is the mother of all leaks. A new set of images have been procured by the expert tipsters at Slashleaks thus giving us an all-revealing look at everything we would want to know. Now, someone’s job must be on the line because of this, but we’re here to focus on what’s in the images. So let’s dive in.

We’re not going to talk much about the design since we’ve had a look at it a lot earlier. These images corroborate with it. In one of the images, the OnePlus 5T is put side by side to the Mi Mix 2 and Galaxy S8. Clearly, it looks bigger than both of them. This should be a pointer to the 6-inch size of the display. More importantly, the fingerprint reader is situated at the back and is round in dimension. It is placed on top of the OnePlus logo. Some expected it to be square.

But let’s talk about the pics of the user manual. There is almost nothing left in the dark when you see the shots of the user manual. It shows the handset will come in 6 GB/8 GB variants while storage options will be 64 GB/ 128 GB. The phone is shown running Android Nougat 7.1.1. So, no, you won’t be getting Android Oreo out of the box.

The camera is discussed in detail in these pics. The hardware is pretty much the same as last year. The rear sports a 16 MP + 20 MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture. On the other side, the selfie shooter has a 16 MP shooter.

Another image shows off a new Pro Mode for the camera. This mode is probably for the photo-snapping enthusiasts. It will include controls for ISO, white balance, shutter speed, focus and exposure settings. RAW image file support and exposure controls via a histogram on screen are other professional tweaks. Video recording is also shown to come with 4K recording and EIS.

Another page in the leaflet explains low-light photography and how it will help users to take great photos when the light is low.

There is a lot of other detail in the images that highlight mainly the display, and the front camera as well as the rear camera of the OnePlus 5T. Take a glance at these images and let us know what you think of the OnePlus 5T. How do you like the design of the handset, how do you like the features of the phone? Are you planning to by one?
