Galaxy Nexus Sales Banned In US

Apple’s Preliminary injunction again got approval from court and it lead to ban on sales of galaxy Nexus due to Samsung’s infringement of US patent number 8,086,604 in US. From Last week Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is also facing ban. The judge is same in this case also. Currently the ban on galxy Nexus is temporary as we have to wait for final decision by court. Apple also has to post a $96 million bond before this action takes place. The dispute is mainly on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)‘s slide-to-unlock mechanism, actionable linking and touch screen word suggestion .

Samsung can of course appeal this ruling and that could happen as early as next week, which could potentially bring this to a very abrupt end. Similar problem was faced by HTC last month for HTC One X sales. Currently Samsung has not responded to the case but we are waiting response from Samsung’s side.
