Google Buys Moodstocks, an image Recognition Startup

Google is working on many futuristic projects at their Lab X. Artificial Intelligence is one of the main development project over there. In a step forward to the development of Artificial Intelligence, Google has bought Moodstocks. It is a French company which is basically an image recognition startup.

Moodstocks posted on official website’s homepage and informed that all the SDKs and API will be suspended. Now, “Our focus will be to build great image recognition tools within Google, but rest assured that current paying Moodstocks customers will be able to use it until the end of their subscription,” the company noted.

In addition they said, “Today, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve reached an agreement to join forces with Google in order to deploy our work at scale. We expect the acquisition to be completed in the next few weeks. Our focus will be to build great image recognition tools within Google, but rest assured that current paying Moodstocks customers will be able to use it until the end of their subscription.”

Already, Google is way ahead in image recognition service. We hope this acquisition will make it the best. Also, we can expect some major changes in the Google Image Search, Google Now, Google Assistant, etc.
