Huawei Ascend Mate 3 Specs Leaked, Spotted In Benchmarks

The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 was surely a value for money phablet, offering great specs at affordable prices. After the Mate 2 was released back in January, this is the first time we’re hearing of a successor to the Mate 2 and it looks like the guys over at Huawei mean serious business with this one.

Thanks to AnTuTu benchmarks where the device was spotted, we now have a specs list of the upcoming Huawei Ascend Mate 3. The 6.1″ screen boasts of 1080 p resolution, which is a considerable upgradation from Mate 2’s 720 p display. A 13 MP shutter on the rear and a 5 MP front snapper to take care of all your selfies will be present on the device. Under the hood will be a Kirin 920 octa-core processor, which according to many is better than the Snapdragon 805. This means the upcoming Huawei Ascend Mate 3 could mean some serious competition to all the current flagships from the likes of Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG and many more and even their upcoming flagships. To go with the Kirin 920 will be a Mali-T624 MP4 GPU and 2 or 3 GB of RAM.

The Mate 3 will be cast in metal and will run on Android 4.4.2. It is expected to be made official in September and be up for sale shortly after that.
