Huawei Nova 2 will be launched on May 26

Huawei seems to be in a hurry to launch a sequel to the Nova and Nova Plus smartphones launched in September 2016. That was about 8 months from now. Both the smartphones were good mid-rangers and their successors will definitely be better than them.
An official poster pointing to a launch date was obtained by 3533.com and has been making the rounds.

There are a couple of things we can deduce from the official poster. A slogan in Chinese on the says “That’s one small step for self-shooter, one giant leap for the value of the device,”. This might allude to a 20 MP dual camera selfie setup for the two smartphones, a first in the series. The poster also says ‘Nova 2 Series’ which means that the Nova 2 Plus might well be released with the Nova 2. The event is scheduled for May 26. That’s all we can take away from the poster for now.

As for the specs, much is not known for the two devices but from its recent certification images at TENAA we can assume it will have a metal body, of course, a dual camera setup at the back, as well as a fingerprint scanner. Other rumored specs include a slightly bigger 5.2-inch display for the Nova 2. Interestingly the recently launched Snapdragon 660 is also expected to be onboard with 4 GB of RAM. Both phones will have at least 3000 mAh battery supporting 18W Quick charge.
