The LG G Optimus G, which was launched some years ago was widely appreciated and was also compared to the Nexus 4 from time to time. Now, its finally time for the Optimus G to be similar to the Optimus G as LG is now rolling out the Android 4.4 Kitkat update for all he Optimus G users in India.
The Optimus G had been running on Android 4.1 Jellybean till now and it looks like LG decided to skip on the Android 4.2 and the Android 4.3 update altogether and decided to go straight for the Android 4.4 Kitkat update. The Korean variant of the Optimus G had received the Android Kitkat update a couple of months ago.
The update is now available over-the-air for the community of the Optimus G users in India and you can download it on your device once it notifies you that the update is available. You can also download it using LG’s desktop software. While the OTA update measures about 500 MB, the desktop software file comes in at 1 GB.
