OxygenOS 5.0.2 stable with Android Oreo rolling out to OnePlus 5T

OnePlus is finally rolling out the Oxygen OS 5.0.2 stable update with Android Oreo to the OnePlus 5T. However, there is a catch as the update is being rolled out to small amount of users at first to avoid major issue.

Oxygen OS 5.0.2 on the OnePlus 5T brings updated system apps (OnePlus exclusive) other than Android Oreo. Four major mostly used system apps are updated and they are Launcher, Gallery, Weather and File Manager. They all now tout the following versions as listed below.

  • Launcher v2.2
  • Gallery v2.0
  • Weather v1.9
  • File Manager v1.7.6

Moreover, the update also brings new design for quick settings and patch for Spectre / Meltdown. Along with the above mentioned new additions, the update also fixes general bugs and brings some improvements.

As stated earlier, the update is being only rolled out to minimum number of users. Thus, don’t expect it to hit your device tomorrow. Anyways, the update will be gradually rolling out to more users sooner or later.
