Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mass production starting soon

Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, Snapdragon 855 is here from a past couple of months. The chip maker announced it a couple of months ago with some awesome improvements. Now various devices are set for launch packed with Snapdragon 855 in few upcoming weeks. As per leaks and reports, the Korean giant’s new flagship is set to unveil on February 20 packing Snapdragon 855.

Moreover, Xiaomi is also set to unveil Mi 9 with Snapdragon 855 chipset on the same day. There are a lot more gossips in the market regarding the Snapdragon 855 availability.

The new chipsets are set for mass developement at the TSMC foundry factory in China. It will boost the TSMC’s revenue which is reeling from some bad days due to the decline in global smartphone shipments.

Additionally, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is said to be 30% efficient and 40% more powerful than its predecessor, Snapdragon 835. The new chipset is based on the 7nm process and features multi-core AI engine. It will also carry a special Computer Vision (CV) ISP for better photography processing. It will help the devices to process photos in a more efficient manner. It will also help to improve the photography in the low-light areas.

Later, this year many devices are slated for launch on teh Snapdragon 855. It will also feature 5G compatibility once X50 modem sets into the chipset configuration.
