Ringing Bells $3.60 Smartphone Official in India

Ringing Bells unveiled $3.60 Smartphone named “Freedom 251” in India. The phone is set to retail in India for Rs 251 and up for order from 18th Feb – 6 AM onwards. Freedom 251 is offered with support from the Indian government.

The Smartphone has a 4-inch qHD (960 x 540) display, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory, microSD slot, 3.2MP camera, 0.3MP front shooter, 3G connectivity, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1450mAh battery. On the software front, you’ll get Android 5.1 Lollipop.

I think this is quite decent specs with this kind of Price tag. Ringing Bells says the phone is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for “empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story.”
