Roku Announces Express, Premiere and Ultra from $29.99

Here are some new buch of home media players from Roku. In order to renovate its whole lineup, Roku has unveiled three of its devices namingly, Express, Premiere and Ultra. The pricing of these devices are starting from $29.99.

Roku Express

The Roku Express is similar in size to a Chromecast, and strangely will be sold alongside the existing Roku Streaming Stick. For $29.99 ($39.99 in Canada), it supports 1080p streaming with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and has a single HDMI port for connectivity.

Roku Express+

An Express+ model ($39.99) also ships with a composite cable in addition to the HDMI cable, as it’s designed to work with older TVs you want to upgrade to a smart TV. Roku felt this was need currently being overlooked in today’s streaming player landscape, noting there are 40 to 50 million TVs that don’t have HDMI ports here in the U.S.

There are few other devices also:

Roku Premiere

The Roku Premiere takes the place of the Roku 2, sells for $80 and supports 4K video at 60 frames per second. It has a quad-core processor and comes with Roku’s standard IR remote.

Roku Premiere+

The $100 Roku Premiere+ takes the place of the Roku 3, retails for $100, and adds HDR support to its 60fps 4K capabilities, along with Roku’s IR remote with a headphone jack that we love so much. It also has an Ethernet port and a microSD card slot.

Roku Ultra

The Roku Ultra replaces the Roku 4, sells for $130, and has many of the same features as the Premiere+, including 4K and HDR, but its remote packs in more features like a “find my remote” option, and A/B buttons for Roku’s often-forgotten games. The box has a USB port that supports external hard drives, thumb drives, or NAS devices packed with movies and music.

All these devices have been annocuned and are going to be available from the month of October. For the time being you can know more about them by heading over to the Source link below.
