Samsung Bought 500 Fake Fans For Press Conference

It this true? As per the report from WantChinaTimes, Samsung bought 500 fake fans for a Press Conference of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge which was held on Friday in China.

They were each paid the equivalent of $4.80 USD once they stuck it out at the event for at least an hour. The recruiters received the equivalent of $3.20 USD for each person they got to attend. The ad originally sought to hire 20 people but this was raised to 30 later. Huang said she received a phone call from Samsung’s Beijing office to confirm her participation.

Samsung has been losing its market share in China over the past year. Since the fourth quarter last year, the iPhone has become the most popular smartphone in the country.
