Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge again starts receiving Android Oreo update

Samsung has again started to rollout the Android 8.0 Oreo for Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge. Due to some issues like boot loops and devices getting bricked, Smasung halted the upgrade. Now Samsung has fixed the issued and the rollout is again on its way to the Galaxy S7 and galaxy S7 Edge users.

Samsung took to the official forums to announce the recommencing the Android Oreo update rollout. The moderators are saying that update process was halted to investigate the issues that were causing the phones to brick  and get in to the bootloops.

Now, the Galaxy S7 Edge has again started to receive the updated. The firmware G930FXXU2ERE8 is getting to the the Galaxy S7 Edge with the build number G935FXXU2ERE8. There are many new features that rolling out on teh Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices. All the luxuries of the Android 8.0 Oreo is added to the device with some additional changes. The upgrade is also getting new features for the apps like Samsung Pay, Samsung internet, Notes and Email apps.

After, several weeks, update is now live again and it weighs around 135 MB. The update official changelog says that it packs April 2017 Android security patch and the Samsung Experience 9.0.
