Samsung to launch Galaxy Grand 2 in India tomorrow

Samsung started sending press invitations for Galaxy Grand 2 launch in India on Monday, December 23. Galaxy Grand 2 is successor of popular Galaxy Grand smartphone. It has more RAM, bigger screen and bigger battery.

It has 5.25 inches capacitive display of resolution 720*1280 pixels and pixel density of 280 ppi. It has internal memory of 8 GB, 1.5 GB RAM and microSD card support up to 64 GB. Connectivity options include 2G, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0, A-GPS.

Just like previous Galaxy Grand, Grand 2 also has 8 MP autofocus camera with single LED flash. Rear camera on the Galaxy Grand 2 is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30 fps. On the front it has 1.9 MP camera for video calling. Unlike Galaxy Grand, Grand 2 is powered by quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. It also has bigger 2600 mAh battery which according to Samsung provides 17 hours of talktime.

The phone will be available in white, black and pink colour options. Price will be between Rs 19,000 to Rs 21,000. This phone going to compete with already launched Sony Xperia C, Micromax Canvas Turbo and LG G Pro Lite.
