Sony Xperia X, X compact and L2 starts receiving June security Patch

Sony starts rolling out Android security patch for the month of June to Xperia X, X compact and L2. The update come to Sony Xperia X and X compact with build number 34.4.A.2.85. Whereas Xperia L2 update come with build number 49.0.A.5.70. 

The update only contains the security patch nothing more than that. The June security patch includes 21 fixes different vulnerabilities in Android system. The major bugs which are fixed in this is remote code execution is enabled when MMS when processing media files, web browsing,etc.

As this is an OTA update. So if you did not get the notification for the update yet then don’t panic. It will reach you in couple of days. You can also try new stuff by heading to Settings > About phone > System update and download the update manually.

For a reminder Both  Sony Xperia X and X compact are launched in MWC 2016. For reminder Xperia X features a 5.0-inch screen having Full HD resolution powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, 3GB RAM, 32/64GB or storage. It is embedded with a  microSD card slot for storage expansion, Dual SIM support. It is consists a huge sensor of 23MP camera (with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, 5x Clear Image Zoom, and Predictive Hybrid AF), 13MP front-facing camera (with 22mm wide-angle F2.0 lens and a 1/3-inch sensor), and a 2620 mAh battery.
