TWRP extends support for Essential Phone, HTC U11 EYEs and Nokia 8

In a bid to increase TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) compatibility, the developers have added a support for some new devices. TWRP is a single recovery that support almost every Android device. It is a custom recovery used to flash custom ROMs, attain root access and install any other third party mod. TWRP support has been extended in a recent update making it compatible with Essential Phone, HTC U11 EYEs and Nokia 8.

All the three devices have a lot of fan following, so, there’s more development about it and more users will tinker with these smartphones. The first and the foremost thing that a person can do to root the device is to install a custom Recovery.

Talking about the Essential phone, then the TWRP is tested on Android 9 Pie as per the developers. Also, there’s a minor screen fit issue, which will not allow you to set the custom themes. But, soon it will get the fix for the screen fit issue.
