Xiaomi M2S Smartphone’s 200,000 Units Sold In 45 Seconds

Xiaomi today launched its MS2 smartphone which was announced couple of weeks ago. Its the first smartphone which runs on Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with a quad-core Krait processor. Today Xiaomi opened first round of sales for the 32GB Xiaomi M2S at 12:00 this afternoon and after only 45 seconds sales were closed due to stock depletion.

The Xiaomi M2S is powered by a 1.7Ghz Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 processor and Adreno 320 GPU. Phone is packed with 2GB of RAM and a 720p  4.3 inch screen. It is available two variants, one with 16 GB and other one with 32 GB storage. Its camera has also been updated to 13 megapixel sensor in comparison with its predecessor.

Xiaomi claims that the phone is faster than the Samsung Galaxy S4. It is priced for $235 or €190 or RMB 1,499. Currently the phones are available only in China but company wants to launch them in Global market.

  • It might be faster than the s4, but probably only because of the lower resolution screen.
