Xiaomi sends invitation for event set on April 25, Xiaomi Mi 6X launch or what?

Today, Xiaomi has send invitations for an event scheduled to happen on April 25. Highly likely it could mark the launch of yet another Xiaomi smartphone for the year, though may be exclusive to China. Perhaps, all the bets are for the Xiaomi Mi 6X.

Appearance of the Mi 6X in multiple benchmarking sites, previous rumors and leaks have somewhat confirmed about its existence. The device will be emerging as the successor to Mi 5X of the yesteryear, with improved and powerful internals as well as the design. Although nothing is set on the stone right now, for all the plausible reasons, Mi 6X itself ought to be the guest of honour at the event.

Rumored Xiaomi Mi 6X Specs

Courtesy to the visit of Mi 6X on TENAA, we’e got some sneak peak of the device. It’s expected to bear a 5.99-inch FHD+ display. An undefined octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz coupled by 4 GB / 6 GB RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB storages. In camera department, the Mi 6X would come with 20MP Sony IMX376 front camera and a dual camera setup featuring 12MP Sony IMX486 + 20MP Sony IMX376 sensors. Most probably, will run Android 8.1 Oreo skinned by MIUI 9.5. A 2,910 mAh battery keeps the light on of the device.

In case if you don’t know, Mi 5X was the MIUI counterpart of the Android One backed Mi A1. The former went exclusive to Chinese market with MediaTek Helio SoC under the hood. Whereas the latter, being a first Android One from Xiaomi powered by Snapdragon 625, hit the various markets such as India and Indonesia. Similarly, if everything happens as we expect on April 25, there is a likely chance for the Mi A2 too to be unveiled on some point later.
