Latest Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 update brings January patch, Android Pie still on cards

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is getting a new update with January, 2019 security patch on-board. It’s just a routine update which Asus has been providing for the device monthly ever since its release.

The OTA update bears the version number WW.15.2016.1901.339 and is of around 412MB in size. Apart from the updated security patch, it includes the usual system stability improvement and a fix for Garmin Watch pairing issue.

Changelog

  • Update Google security patch
  • Optimize system stability
  • Fix Garmin Watch pairing issue

It’s disappointing as Asus hasn’t been able to provide the Android Pie update for the device till now. Considering that the device comes with Stock Android interface, don’t know why the update is taking too much time to hit the device.

Nonetheless, Asus has promised to push the Android Pie update for the Max Pro M1 in February. Hence, we believe the next update should pack the major Android Pie update and not less than that. Well, we’ve to see how well Asus stick to its words.

In case if you own Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, head over to Settings>>System>>System Update to check for the update. If an update is available to download it and install to have the latest fixes and system improvements.
