Essential kicks off beta program for the Essential Phone

As Samsung has kick-started its beta program for Oreo, Essential has also joined in among other manufacturers. The company did declare earlier, that it would dedicate itself to fast software updates, and the beta is part of that promise. There are still no dates for a stable release but this beta will program suggests things are going on well.

Now, as with all beta software, you might encounter bugs and glitches in the software as it is meant for testing. People ready to be a guinea pig for the beta firmware can head on to Essential’s developer website. Anyone willing to try it can enrol for the program.

Oreo brings quite a few changes to Android like P-I-P mode, a revamped settings menu, battery optimizations, and a ton of underground changes to improve the experience. Those who wish to play with the update will have to use the latest ADB tool and sideload the beta build. This will be after signing up for the program. Essential has also encouraged users to report bugs on the forums actively to make the stable build more bug-free. You can head on to the source link below for more details and participation.
