HTC: Apple Patent Agreement To Pay back in 2013

As we know HTC has signed 10 years patent agreement deal with Apple couple of months ago. According to reports it also suggested that Apple will get $6-$8 per every HTC Device sold but later on HTC condemn these statements.

Today HTC China Head, Ray Yam said, “The settlement with Apple will start to pay off next year, and the fourth quarter of this year is still going at a set place. HTC wasted too many resources on the Apple lawsuits, which were seen as ‘a sword hanging over our heads’. Since the settlement, HTC has encouraged its employees during various meetings to ‘take broader steps’. The biggest benefit to us is that we can put more energy into innovation, which is more important than anything else for a technology company.”

Robert Yen, an analyst at Goldman Sachs in Taipei agrees as well  and said the settlement removes one of the greatest threats to the stock and eliminates the possibility that HTC will be shut out of the U.S. market.
