JioPhone 2 announced with QWERTY keypad for Rs 2,999

Today at Reliance AGM, Reliance Jio has come up with many new offerings. THey have announced the Reliance JioGigaFiber and other services under the brochure of Jio Home services. The another announcement is of new feature phone from Jio, the JioPhone 2 at the price of Rs 2,999.

The new comes packed with 2,4 inch QVGA screen with 512MB of RAM. This time Reliance Jio seems to lure the fans of QWERTY keypad. It closely resembles the Blackberry devices with QWERTY keypad few years ago. The phone supports only 4G LTE bands and VoWiFi and is locked to Jio network.

The JioPhone 2 will retail at the price of Rs 2,999. It runs on KaiOS with dual-SIM connectivity. There’s a 2000 mAh battery with a 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera and a mono speaker.  It inbuilts KaiOS with Dual SIM compatibility and has utnerbal storage of 4GB internal with FM, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and NFC.

Jio has announced support for major social services like WhatsApp, Facebook and YouTube for the JioPhone KaiOS platform.

The JioPhone 2 sale is going to start from next month by August 15th. Already, the Jio offer services to 200 million users in India.
