Nothing Phone (1) receives Nothing OS 1.5.4 update with exciting changes

Nothing is rolling out a new software update for its flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1). The update, bearing firmware Nothing OS 1.5.4, offers users several improvements and new features. One of the most significant additions is the new feedback feature that allows users to report issues or give suggestions to developers. The feature will help developers improve the OS and enhance user experience.

The update also optimizes the 4G/5G network switching function, reducing standby power consumption and prolonging battery life. Additionally, the Bluetooth function in Quick Settings has been optimized for easier access to paired devices.

Another exciting feature is smoother QR code transactions, allowing users to scan UPI QR codes directly through the camera app and choose a payment app on their device to complete the transaction. However, this feature is only available in select regions.

The fingerprint pattern unlocking experience has also been optimized, making it more responsive and accurate. The pop-up view animations have also been improved, providing a more seamless experience.

The update integrates Google Safety Center and NDot Cyrillic font support for Belarusian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Russian, Serbian, and Ukrainian. It also addresses several issues reported by users, including freeze issues during pop-up view, improved notification display in Quick Settings, error messages during face unlock setup, and incoming call notifications that come through without delay.
