OnePlus X Gets New Update, Marshmallow Still Awaited

OnePlus’s budget offering, the OnePlus X has started receiving OTA updates after a long wait. The update however is still not what people expected it to be, i.e, Android Marshmallow 6.0. The new update, OxygenOS 2.2.2 brings a whole lot of new features to the device and if OnePlus is to be believed, their team is constantly working to bring Marshmallow to the OnePlus X.

Talking about the changelog, there are a lot of features that have been updated and a whole lot of new ones. These are as follows:

  • Camera UI upgraded to 1.4 UI
  • Camera frame rate performance improved
  • Trusted face unlock security option added
  • Swiftkey updated to version 6.3.3
  • Carrier name mapping updated
  • July security patches added
  • Default SIM card selection issue fixed
  • Network operator selection issue fixed
  • Screen rotation issue fixed
  • General improvements and bug fixes
