Oppo Reno2, A5 & A9 (2020) receiving June 2020 security patch update

Oppo is continuously rolling out software updates and security updates to its smartphones. Two days ago, the company has rolled out a new system update for Oppo watch. Now, Oppo has started rolling out June 2020 security patch update for Oppo Reno2, Oppo A5, and A9 (2020). As of now, the company has not added any new features in this update.

Talking about the update, it comes with the latest security patch, security loophole fixes, bug fixes for issues that were posted last month on Google and Oppo Community Forums. As the old reported bugs are fixed, it will also improve the overall security of the system and enhances stability too. However, the changelog the update is mentioned below.

  • Added the June 2020 Android security patch to enhance system securitySystem
  • Optimized the system performance and enhance system stability

Coming to the Firmware versions, the June 2020 security patch update for Oppo Remo2 is rolling out in CPH1989EX_11_C.10 build number and CPH1933EX_11_C.65 build number for Oppo A5. Whereas Oppo A9 is getting the update in CPH1937EX_11_C.65 Firmware version. The updates are currently rolling out in India and many other regions across the world. According to the company, the update is rolling out in phases and it may take some time to reach each unit.

To check the update manually, navigate to the Settings> Software updates> Check for Updates. If the update is available then download it from the like below. We also suggest you switch to a WiFi network to avoid carrier data costs. As of now, the OTA update file is currently unavailable for download. However, we will update the article once we get the files.
