Play Store Fraud: Spam and Fraud Installs Improved Detection and filtering System Rolling

Finally, improved spam and fraud install detection system is rolling out for Play Store. Google is now implementing its recently developed defense system against the fraudulent app installs and incentive based ratings of apps.

Google has clearly said that they will not let such apps or developers to practise these fraudulent activities on Goole Play Store. As written in the Android Developers Blog:

These attempts not only violate the Google Play Developer Policy but also harm our community of developers by hindering their chances of being discovered or recommended through our systems. Ultimately, they put the end users at risk of making wrong decisions based on inaccurate, unauthentic information.

While rolling the new system Google has said that:

Today we are rolling out improved detection and filtering systems to combat such manipulation attempts. If an install is conducted with the intention to manipulate an app’s placement on Google Play, our systems will detect and filter it. Furthermore, developers who continue to exhibit such behaviors could have their apps taken down from Google Play.

So, now if you guys see any apps not appearing in the top lists of the Play Sore listings, then don’t get surprised, it might be the cure that is provided by this new system. As a user you don;t need to panic this is for developers.
