Razer Buys Nextbit, Robin Smartphones Will Receive Updates Until 2018

Nextbit, company behind popular Robin Smartphones has been acquired by the Razer. It is the same company which manufactures keyboards and mice for electronic devices.

Nextbit is a kickstarter company that completed $500,000 goal and later stood with 1.3 Million of final pledge amount. Nextbit Robin is the first device that company manufactured about a year ago. It is built around a cloud feature that would allow seamless usage of apps and content that transcended between phone’s on-board storage and a complimentary cloud service, automatically. Particularly, it automatically backups the unused data.

Nextbit has informed about the acquisition via Twitter handle and also posted the transformation logo from Nextbit to the Razer’s color combination.

Currently, Razor haven’t commented about any new device from the just acquired company. But we are sure that in some time there are going to be some devices as depicted in the logo animation above. Particularly, Nextbit will be added to Razor’s independent division of mobile design and experiences.
