Redmi Note 9 Pro get Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 update in India

While Xiaomi has introduced an enhanced version of MIUI 12.5, the deployment of the standard version is still not completed. After Poco M2 and Redmi K20, the Redmi Note 9 Pro becomes one of the latest devices to grab the MIUI 12.5 update in India.

After flashing the update, the system version will be bumped to V12.5.1.0.RJWINXM. Accompanying the features of the new skin, the package carries a two-month-old security patch, July 2021. Moreover, it brings several new additions to the system and the Notes app. Here’s the list of changes the Redmi Note 9 Pro will inculcate with the new version.

The OTA update is rolling out in phases. Thus, it may take a while to reach all units. But you can manually track the update via the Settings app > Software update > Check for update > Download and install.
