Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Spotted Running On Android 7.0 Nougat

Samsung recently started seeding Android Nougat update for Galaxy A3 (2016) in Germany and now another A series smartphone, the Galaxy A9 Pro spotted running on Android 7.0. It seems like the Galaxy A9 Pro might soon get Android 7.0 Nougat update. The device has been spotted on GFXBench and Geekbench running Android 7.0. It means Samsung might be testing Android 7.0 on the smartphone and will roll out the Nougat update for the device soon.

The Galaxy A9 Pro was launched in May last year with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow onboard. It has huge 6 inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The device is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and comes with 4 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory and microSD card support for further memory expansion. The device has 16 MP rear camera, 8 MP front camera and 5000 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery.

According to Samsung, the device offers impressive 33 hours of talk time. Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is one of the best mid-range smartphone for media consumption.

It is good to see that, nowadays Samsung making some good amount of efforts to update mid-range smartphones as well.

All smartphone manufacturers, carriers and Google should really try hard to reduce Android fragmentation. Recently Apple CEO, Tim Cook mocked Android for its OS fragmentation in WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) 2017.
