Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ starts rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo on Verizon Network

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ starts getting long awaited Android 8.0 Oreo. The update comes with the firmware version R16NW.G950USQU2CRB9 for Galaxy S8, R16NW.G955USQU2CRB9 for Galaxy S8+. Verizon Wireless becomes the first US Carrier to roll out Oreo Update on Galaxy S8 and S8+.

The update includes Android 8.0 Oreo with all its goodies i.e. picture-in-picture mode, notification channels, adaptive icons, Notification dots, new emojis, Google Play Protect, Use 2 apps with just one tap, Dual Messenger, and other under the hood add-ons. Samsung Experience 9.0 interface that comes pre-installed with Oreo on the new Galaxy S9 and S9+.

The update will be rolling out this update from today onwards as OTA. So it might take some time to reach each and every user. You can also check the update manually by going through the settings>>about the phone>>software update. Remember before start installing the Update do charge your at least up to 50%.
