Skype Android App reaches 1 Billion downloads on the Play Store

Skype for Android is available from past many years on the Play Store. Today, it has achieved a new milestone on the Play Store by completing the 1 Billion downloads. Skype’s Android branch is now mostly used platform across the its whole service. Skype Android App has consistently provided latest features to its users and it is the main driving force behind these much downloads.

It’s another app from Facebook which has received the 1 Billion downloads. Recently, Facebook owned Whatsapp also crossed this milestone recently. there are many other apps like Google Duo, Hangouts, etc which are already in there in the 1 Billion downloads club.

Talkin about Skype, it is a big achievement for the Skype Android App. It shows the popularity and user base of this leading video chat service.

Recently, Skype also unveiled its Lite app, which is said to be a better app in terms of memory usage. Skype launched it particularly for low end devices. As per our view, Skype Lite is much better with less memory consumption and better App interface.

Now a days, there are many competitors of Skype that are available like Google Duo, Hangouts, Whatsapp Video Chat and many others.
