Verizon branded Moto Z2 Force now receiving Android Oreo 8.0 update over-the-air

After a series of sock testing, finally Motorola has started seeding stable Android Oreo 8.0 to Moto Z2 Force. By this, the mere 3 month old device is the second Moto device to taste the latest Android OS following the Moto Z. Well, the update is being hit on Verizon carrier-locked Z2 Force in U.S. as of now. Obviously, soon it should be available on other carrier branded Z2 Force as well as the Global.

As it should be, the OTA package is bulky since it contains the all new OS and its concerned bells and whistles. With the update on-board, it takes the device to build number ODX27.109-3. Since most of the Moto devices run pure Android with little or no customization, the Oreo update brings following new add-ons:

  • Adaptive notification dots
  • Picture-in-Picture Mode
  • Redesigned emojis and new Call Screen UI
  • Highlighted Text Tweaks
  • And, Overall performance and productivity improvements

Moreover, the major update does carry the latest security patch dated 1st December. Literally, latest Android OS coupled by up-to-date security fixes are what the users are being rewarded with this release. So Verizon Z2 Force owners, don’t waste any more time and update your device to experience the possibilities of Oreo 8.0.
