VIZIO Goes for $2 Billion to LeEco

Vizio, American TV and Display manufacturing company has got sold to LeEco, brand which deals in Smartphone Manufacturing, Android-powered bicycles, electric cars, for $2 Billion. This seems to be the acquisition which will help LeEco to enter Smart TV and Display market not only in India and China but US and many other major markets.

Already we have lot of stories about upcoming TVs and Displays from LeEco. We hope this would strengthen LeEco as a big TV manufacturing brand.

Under the deal, Vizio will be operated as an independent subsidiary, with the company’s current management team staying in place and working out of its offices in Southern California.

They aren’t Android TV, but the company did ship the TVs with an Android tablet in each box to make it easier to fling content to the big screen. They also have a line of Google Cast-ready speakers.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year.
