Xiaomi Mi 7 to come with an In-Screen Fingerprint Scanner, Confirmed!

A few days back we have covered a story dedicated to the forthcoming Xiaomi flagship termed as the Xiaomi Mi 7. There we have tried to assemble almost all latest information available about the device. A senior XDA member has revealed on the basis of source code that Mi 7/Mi 7 Plus will come with an In-Screen Fingerprint and now it looks like he was right. Recently on Weibo Xiaomi’s CEO has confirmed something special, so let’s check out some in-depth facts surrounding it.

After analyzing the above image one can easily see that a person has randomly commented on a post and what he says is that upcoming Mi7 has an In-Screen Fingerprint Scanner. By seeing those laughing emojis one can easily notice that he was not serious about that, but later what happened is interesting. In reply to his comment, Lei Jun(Xiaomi CEO) commented: “randomly said, really!”. It probably means that he is agreeing the fact that the device will feature an In-Screen Fingerprint Scanner.

This succession had started when Vivo has launched its first device with an In-Screen Fingerprint Scanner since then we have seen a number of devices from Chinese OEM’s housing similar tech. It is worth mentioning that Chinese brands are fast in adopting new technology as compared to other brands. Maybe because the production cost and labor are available for cheap there.

Rumored: Xiaomi Mi 7 specs

When it comes to other specs, Mi7 is expected to house a fresh Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Chipset coupled with optional 6GB/8GB of RAM. The device will feature a Bezel-less panel with notch but it looks like Xiaomi will provide the Notch hide feature as a majority of users are still in its disfavor.
