Xiaomi Mi 7 is the upcoming flagship device from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer which is scheduled to launch on May 23 in China. A recently leaked launch poster is making rounds on the Chinese micro blogging website, Weibo. In the past few months, we came across several leaks and rumors indicating the specs and imminent launch of the handset. Just last month, Xiaomi introduced Mi Mix 2S which was well-received by the audience.
However, the leaked launch poster is quite blurry and depicts a low-quality Mi Logo which questions the accuracy of the news. Xiaomi always uses high-resolution images to introduce and promote its smartphones among users. Moreover, the company has recently introduce Mi Mix 2S. Adding another smartphone to its portfolio within a month sounds illogical as it may have a direct impact on Mi Mix 2S sales. As a result, we are quite skeptical about the launch and is best taken with a grain of salt.
Though the launch date could be unreliable, the smartphone’s upcoming launch is quite imminent. Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to bear a notch display with almost similar specs as Mi Mix 2S.
A detailed spec sheet indicates that Xiaomi Mi 7 has a 5.6-inch QHD+ display and 19:9 aspect ratio with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The handset powers with latest Snapdragon 845 SoC. It is expected to be launched in two variants – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.
As far as camera section is concerned, Xiaomi Mi 7 flaunts dual-camera setup with 16MP sensors on the rear panel and a 13MP front camera. The smartphone is expected to pack a large battery with support for wireless charging.
