Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 appears at 3C listing, confirms 8520 mAh dual-cell battery

The last time Xiaomi introduced a pad was Mi Pad 4 Plus, which debuted in August 2018. But, the company has not ceased the tab segment. Last month, it was spotted working on high-end Android tablets to launch in the future. Looks like that the clue was true and now, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 appears on China’s 3C listing.

The 3C’s listing gives us a hint of what we can expect from the device. Also, it confirms some aspects like, Mi Pad 5 will pack a dual-cell battery of 8520mah. To be more precise, each of the cells has a capacity of 4260mAh.

However, Xiaomi has not yet officially revealed any detail regarding the new tab. But, it is tipped to arrive in two models- the Mi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro. These tablets are rumored to have an IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel could offer 16:10 aspect ratio displays with 2,500×1,600 pixels resolution and 4096-level touch.

Under the hood, the tabs can fuel Android 11, where the Mi Tab 5 likely to equip MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. Needless to say, the Pro version will be a high-end tablet, that can power Snapdragon 870 chipset. Moreover, the Pro version will bring support for the stylus pen.

The tablets may arrive with model numbers K81 and K81A respectively. Additionally, the Chinese giant is reported to develop an MIUI version specially for Tablets. The interface will flaunt a PC-centric interface and a handheld PC mode. Plus, the two tablets are expected to house quad rear cameras, apart from offering NFC and wireless charging support.
