Facebook experimenting “A New Way To Meet Up”

The social networking site, Facebook probably is testing a new way of socialising. That too similar to Dating apps such as Tinder or Bumble. Facebook, which had recently totted plethora of new features to its messaging platform, such as Colorful Comments, Stories etc. It is now upon a new feature that connects users on its chat platform, only if they both accept.

The new feature which is now being beta tested operates as follows. During your Facebook surfing, at no specific time you would be receiving a pop-up which consist of Facebook auto-generated friends list, whom you may be interested to meet.

Further, the user is given two options for responding, either Yes or No thanks for each friend on the list. And, the best part is you’ll be notified only if both(you and your friend) answered positively(Yes). Kinda Tinder function, but not exactly. Since, it connects you up with your friends, rather than with strangers which is used to be in the case of Dating apps.

A Facebook spokesman necessarily gave the main agenda behind the feature by quoting this:

“People often use Facebook to make plans with their friends. So, we’re running a very small test in the Facebook app to make that easier.”

From the above words it’s clear that. Although, majority of us deduced the utility of the feature as a date fixer. But, the actual intention of Facebook is to facilitate an innovative way to make plans with the friends.

Nevertheless, the feature need not be live for you. Seems, currently it’s limited to a few users in New Zealand and Canada. Otherwise, if you are one among the few to test the feature. We’d be pleased to know about your opinion in the comment section below.
