Google acquires a video Software service Avanto

Google acquires a video Software service Avanto, it will runs on the Google’s Cloud platform. Anvato is the eight-year-old video platform which provides the tools for streaming, editing, and delivering over-the-top (OTT) video.

“This will allow us to supercharge our capabilities, accelerate the pace of innovation, and deliver tomorrow’s video solutions faster, enabling media companies to better serve their customers,” Turgut wrote.

Avanto is used by many big players of the media and entertainment like NBCUniversal, Univision and Fox Sports, Now all of these will complement the efforts of Google Cloud Platform to offer scalable media processing and workflows in the cloud.

However, Google’s cloud competitors such as Microsoft and Amazon Web Services have also made investments in the area of providing services to companies offering video delivery.
