Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and GitHub are Blocked in Turkey

Turkey has blocked various Cloud services, namely Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox and GitHub. This action is taken because Earlier this month, a significant amount of private emails allegedly stolen from the email client of Berat Albayrak, Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, has been leaked online by a hacking collective Redhack.

The ban is effected on all the platforms i.e. Desktop, browsers and Mobile Apps. Turkey is having the long history in banning various internet services in the past. Turkey blocked WikiLeaks in July following a leak of emails from Turkey’s ruling political party. It also banned Facebook and Twitter after the car Bomb explosion in Ankara.

The Ban is carried out by the countries ISP’s. Except Google Turkey Government did not officially notified to any other company yet. However, the ban is effective now and no official word about unblocking date of these services in Turkey.
