Honor Play 9A acquires February 2021 Security Patch update

Days back, the Honor X10 and 20S have acquired the February 2021 security patch update. Now, the Honor Play 9A becomes the latest device to join the list. Identified by the software version, 3.1.0.181 is currently rolling out in China.

Forthcoming to the update, the changelog doesn’t reveal the changes included in this update. However, like the other updates, it consists of 2 Criticalfixes, 26 High levels, and 77 Medium levels of CVE’s. Apart from these, we don’t have much information about the update. This is a regular security update that is pushed to increase the system’s performance and the smartphone’s security level.

Honor Play 9A can see a notification if the update reaches their device. Also, keep in mind that the update is following the phased rollout, and it is expected o arrive on all units in a week. You can check the update manually by making a beeline to Settings>Software updates. The update can also be checked from the Support app. To do this, open the app and head to Services >> Update >> Check for updates.

Honor Play 9A Specifications

Back in Q1 of 2020, Honor Play 9A was launched sporting a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display (720 x 1600 pixels), 13-Mp + 2-MP dual rear camera, and an 8-MP single front-facing camera. The phone is powered by a Mediatek Helio P35 (12nm) Chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage. On the top, the phone runs Android 10 based Magic UI 3.0 Skin and packs a 5,000 mAh battery.
