Nvidia Shield TV Console getting Android 8.0 Update

A long time ago Nvidia has revealed its Nvidia Shield TV console, it is based on Android and enables additional functionalities for the users. Recently the brand has rolled out the much-anticipated update for the TV console and it is the Android 8.0 Oreo update. It is a great news for a user who owns one as it comprises a number of new features. Here in this write-up, we will be talking about the new features it brings, so without spoiling a moment let’s jump to the details.

The most eye-catching feature one will notice after powering the device is the new revamped Home screen. After installing this update a user can perform all the tasks with an ease because all things including Live TV, Video on demand, Games, Streaming media, etc are clubbed at one place. In the top row, you can find recent media. Along with features the update also adds support for new games: Morphite, Crashlands, Dandara and Shadowgun Legends.

The update brings all new May security patch. It adds new “Play next” row where you can continue watching programmes that you’ve already started. “Apps row” enables a user to choose and arrange his/her favorite apps. “Channels” didn’t shows the shows you’ve already watched and instead of that, you can explore new things on it. The update is currently in rolling phase and brings support for Xbox 360 and DualShock 4 v2 controller support, DualShock 4 through USB Wireless adapter.
