OnePlus 6 is now Official with a Snapdragon 845 SoC and Improved Cameras

After appearing in uncountable leaks OnePlus has finally announced its much-anticipated handset known as the OnePlus 6. The complete Tech community was waiting for it for a long and finally, it is now official. The company has organized an event in London where they unveiling has taken place. The device packs some serious upgrades over the old OnePlus 5T. We know that you all are dying to know in-depth information about it so without wasting any moment let’s jump to the facts.

Almost all specs related information has appeared in leaks and rumors. OnePlus 6 comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845(64 bit) Octa-Core processor coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU for Gaming. The device will be made available in three variants: 6GB RAM+64GB ROM, 8GB RAM+128GB ROM, and the top-end 8GB RAM+256GB ROM. The handset runs on OxygenOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. For your kind information the device has already received support for the Android P Beta, so one can easily enjoy the latest flavor of Android on it.

This time OnePlus has fixed a major issue i-e now the smartphone offers a Water Resistant body. In the front, it possesses a mammoth 6.28(inch) Full HD+ Optic AMOLED Display with 19:9 aspect ratio, 2280 x 1080 pixels and it does have an iPhone X like notch. Altogether the device delivers a 90% Screen to body ratio which is great. The device offers a 16MP(Aperture f/1.7)+20MP(Aperture f/1.7) with PDAF, OIS, EIS, LED Flash and the sensors are now 19% bigger compared to the OnePlus 5T. In the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with Aperture f/2.0. With improved Sony sensors, the device can now record 720p footage at 480fps, 1080p footage at 240fps and 4K footage at impressive 60fps.

As visible in the images, the shape of the Fingerprint Scanner has been now changed to an Oval shape from a circular one. Additionally, OnePlus has confirmed that their Fingerprint Scanner is now more secure and fast as it detects more than 100 points on the face. OnePlus 6 runs on a 3300mAh battery with the support of Dash Charging. Fortunately, the device houses a 3.5mm audio jack along with a USB Type-C port for Charging. As disclosed by recent leaks the device for the first time will be made available in a Glass finish variant.

In total it will be made available in three variants including Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and Silk-White edition. The price for the 6GB RAM+64GB ROM variant is kept at $529(36000 INR), 8GB RAM+128GB ROM variant for $579(39000 INR) and 8GB RAM+256GB ROM variant for $629(42000 INR). The Indian price is yet to be announced, however, in other regions, it will go on sale from 5th of June.
