OnePlus 6 receives selfie portrait mode and game optimization

OnePlus has just announced its flagship killer known as the OnePlus 6. The device packs some serious hardware under the hood and that too with an attractive price tag. It delivers performance that can easily outshine some other contenders like Galaxy S9, LG G7, etc. However, we all have witnessed in the case of Pixel 2 XL that how software on a smartphone plays a vital role. OnePlus has its own Oxygen OS but at the time of launch, the device was lacking in some segments. To eliminate the existing bugs OnePlus has just rolled out a new update to fix those issues.

The Chinese units of OnePlus devices mostly come with a different HydrogenOS compared to the OxygenOS in India. This update has currently arrived in China region and that too for HydrogenOS running devices.

At the time of launch, OnePlus had promised that in the upcoming updates selfie portrait mode will be added and luckily this latest HydrogenOS update brings this feature to the device. As an additional feature, this update brings battery percentage indication which was missing earlier.

The update also adds support for “Game Optimization” which further removes the unnecessary tasks from the memory and empties the space for the games you are running. This update also takes care of the errors and existing bugs.

The update comes with the version HydrogenOS v5.1.6 and we are expecting identical features to be introduced with the upcoming Global OxygenOS update as well. To be honest OnePlus is among the list of brands that take care of their users a lot by rolling out frequent updates to the devices.
